Experts say getting more shots in arms is the only way out of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, though only half the population is fully vaccinated. For the time being, people don’t need to go out and get a booster shot, and researchers don’t necessarily know if they will be needed. The Federal Drug Administration, CDC and National Institutes of Health are evaluating options with “a goal to lay out a national strategy for COVID-19 booster shots in early September.” Researchers said they are looking at many different areas and as science evolves, it will be reported to the American people.
