3:01Now PlayingCOVID-19 cases are on the rise, but so are the number of people ready to get vaccinated. In Louisiana, 54,000 people got the vaccine on Monday. However, health care workers are still hesitant to get the vaccine.
A recent report from Medscape Medical group found that 1 in 4 health care workers weren’t receiving the vaccine. At the Houston Methodist hospital, more than 100 nurses either got fired or resigned as a result of not getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
There are multiple health care organizations that stand behind the health care mandate to get the vaccine. The American Nurses Association, which represents 4.2 million registered nurses, release a statement in support of health care employers mandating that health workers get vaccinated against COVID-19.
