The case has many layers to it, and “Start Your Day” welcomes justice correspondent Candace Kelley on the show to breakdown the case.
Kelley talks about the juror selection process, which began back in January with a 22-page questionnaire document that ask jurors about STD’s and what they thought about R. Kelly. The defense team couldn’t get an answer to the question of whether or not jurors liked the documentary “Surviving R. Kelly.” They also wanted to know if the jurors were in fact R. Kelly fans.
The defense team and the prosecution team wanted to know how people feel about homosexual relationships. Some of the girls engaged in relationships with other women and recently, R. Kelly was accused of having a sexual relationship with a young boy.
