8:53Now PlayingAn assembly committee is scheduled to meet Monday to discuss impeachment proceedings for New York governor Andrew Cuomo, who’s accused of sexually harassing 11 women.
BNC’s political consultant Tezlyn Figaro joined “Start Your Day” guest host Shannon LaNier, where she said following his top aide resigning, this is probably a good time for Cuomo to try and cut a deal. “This is so interesting, because remember just this time last year, he was a hero to America,” said Figaro. “Folks were talking about him possibly running for president and how he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. It just shows you how, in politics, anything can change at any moment.” LaNier noted that now that the door has been opened, it’ll be interesting to see how many other women come forward. Either way, the lack of stable leadership is sure to hurt New York as the Delta variant continues to surge across the state. Governor Cuomo has until Friday, August 13, to turn in evidence in his defense.
