9:51Now PlayingA former Louisiana state trooper whose body camera captured him beating an unarmed Black man during a traffic stop, has pleaded not guilty in federal court.
Jacob Brown was indicted by a federal grand jury in September, charged with a single count of “deprivation of rights under color of law.” If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. In body cam video that may be graphic for some, viewers see Brown repeatedly strike Aaron Larry Bowman on the head with a flashlight, as he begs the officer to stop.
Bowman and attorney Donecia Banks-Miley, who’s handling his civil case, join “Making the Case” host Yodit Tewolde to shine a light on what happened and talk about the officer’s ongoing legal woes.
