Dec 9, 202115:06Now PlayingIn Chicago, Jussie Smollett faces six felony counts of disorderly conduct for lying to police.
It all stems back to January of 2019, when the “Empire” actor told police he was a victim of a hate crime.
He alleged two men, wearing red “MAGA” hats, put a rope around his neck and poured bleach on him while yelling racist and homophobic slurs. However, prosecutors say Smollett staged the alleged attack for publicity.
Former senior homicide prosecutor Bernarda Villalona and jury consultant Robert Swafford join Yodit Tewolde on “Making the Case” to discuss the closing arguments from both sides.
All this and more on “Making the Case.”
