Illegal Alien With no ID and a Fake Address Steals from Macy’s

On October 4, 2025 around 3:27 PM, Patrolman William Moody with the Freehold Township Police Department responded to Macy’s at 3710 US Highway 9 on a report of a theft. He walked inside and made contact with store employees, who claimed that a woman attempted to exit the store with stolen merchandise worth about $261 that was concealed inside a bag. Video footage confirmed that she attempted to steal.

The suspect did not have any identification, but she showed a picture of a Peruvian passport indicating that her name was Hilary Olivera-Ninaquispe and that she was 26 years of age. She claimed that she had just arrived there from Virginia, and she later told the officer that she had been in the United States for 7 months. Since they had enough probable cause to charge her, Hilary was placed under arrest for shoplifting.

Hilary was transported to the Freehold Township Police Department for further processing. At the station, Hilary initially provided the officers with a fake address, and repeatedly lied to them during processing. After she was photographed and fingerprinted, Hilary was eventually released with a summons pending her court appearance.

Hilary was charged with shoplifting (2C:20-11B(2). As of January 18, 2026, court records indicate that Hilary never appeared in court. A warrant for her arrest with $1,000 in bail was issued by the court on December 16, 2025.
