2:17Now PlayingWith all the controversy around protesting, rioting, and everything in between, our helpful guide on protest do's and don'ts explains how to protest the right way. Share your protest tips in the comments and subscribe for new funny videos every week!
Whether it's a Black Lives Matter protest, the March for Life, a Trump rally or an anti-Trump rally, protests always seem to be controversial now. Yet there don't seem to be many guides or instructions on how to protest the right way. You don't want your first amendment freedoms to be undermined by either violent rioters or bad protest signs, so let our video on protest dos and don'ts help supply you the necessary training - whether you're headed to Washington DC, the nearest airport, Ferguson, JFK or wherever Bernie Sanders is going to be next.
Some tips:
Do: have a funny protest sign.
It's the best way to get people to take pictures spread your message farther than just the two people you're wedged between at JFK.
Don't Punch People!
Even punching Richard Spencer, a leader of the Alt Right, only helps his narrative of being a victim. If you're going to complain his ideas are violent, it doesn't help your cause if your actions are violent.
Do: Play Music
Protest songs are the most memorable part of protests - plus, nobody can accuse you of rioting when you're playing a ukelele.
Don't Block Traffic!
Protestors blocking traffic is a sure way to get run over or go viral or both. Regardless of whose lives you think matter, nobody thinks people making them stuck in traffic's lives matter at all.
