6:20Now PlayingChristine Blasey Ford sent a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., describing the alleged assault by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh before his confirmation hearing.
"Was it your understanding it was going to be kept confidential up until -- right before the hearing," asked the committee's counsel Rachel Mitchell.
"It was my understanding that it was going to be kept confidential, period," Ford said.
