Situation In Afghanistan Is Getting Worse
The Taliban have announced a new government filled with many dangerous people, which isn’t great for those who hoped the Taliban would become more tolerant. Many have criticized President Joe Biden for his inaction in this situation. In fact, he ignored UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s calls for three days. It begs the question of why didn’t President Joe Biden do more: either evacuate earlier or do more to prevent all the chaos and fighting caused by the Taliban. To help understand this, we turn to Saeeq Shajjan, who escaped Afghanistan two days after the collapse of the Afghani government.
El Salvador Becomes First Nation To Accept Bitcoin As Legal Tender
El Salvador became the first country in the world to accept Bitcoin as legal tender and to recognize it as one of its national currencies. Now Salvadorans can pay off their debts with Bitcoin. The Salvadoran president claims he did this to allow for his citizens to send and receive money abroad since so many of them rely on remittances from abroad. In fact, one in five Salvadorans rely on these remittances.
