Have you noticed that your favorite influencers posting about fundraisers and charities that they are supporting? The rise of social media influencers has allowed them to bring awareness to causes that mean a lot to them. Popular YouTubers Rhett and Link did an all-day streaming event for Inner City Arts last year. Mr. Beast has partnered with Team Sea’s initiative to help the ocean. And the social media platform TikTok has recently put in new features for users and creators to fundraise within the app.
From selling merch to partnering with charities, and holding events, influencers are making it known that they care about the world. With the rise of social media, it seems that philanthropy is taking off with creators. After they make a name for themselves, they use their platform for others.
