It's time to get back into a productive sleep schedule, whether it was a timetable adjustment from the lockdown, a shift to remote work, or you're having trouble establishing a habit.
Our brains are programmed to operate more efficiently early in the day, so if you don't get up until noon, you're missing out on the most productive time of the day.
In fact, your chances of being a night owl are slim, with only about 1% of the population genetically wired to be more productive at night.
You will be in a constant state of jet lag if you wake up later in the day. If you've ever traveled internationally, you know that's not how you should spend your life.
Jetlag makes you feel fatigued throughout the day, and catching up on sleep seems impossible. If you get up early, you're more likely to get more sleep, which has benefits such as improved mood and focus, as well as a lower risk of obesity and other chronic diseases.
Make it a point to get on a sleep pattern so you can wake up sooner. Are you a night owl or an early bird? Let us know in the comments below.
