We all know that cryptocurrency has a lot of volatility, which can be risky if you're a short-term trader. However, if you look at crypto from a long-term perspective, you may form an intriguing theory.
Do we know what will happen with cryptocurrency? No. Do we know which cryptocurrency will be the most popular in the future? No, but we do know that technology can be disruptive, and blockchain technology appears to be here to stay. The banks are debating whether or not they want to create their own cryptocurrency. You also have stablecoins.
As Bitcoin becomes more widely accepted, it may transition from a cryptocurrency used to transact to a crypto asset used to store value. Then you can look at things like investing for the next 30 years and examine it in the same way we have examined how gold has performed over the last 10 to 50 years.
If you're positive on crypto but don't want to deal with the short-term volatility, take a look at how it's performed over the last 5-10 years. You might not be able to join in on the ground floor, but you can get in early as the technology matures and new financial institutions emerge.
The idea of having it in their operational machinery means that you have a long-term potential to invest properly and build a beautiful nest egg simply by doing crypto.
