President Trump announced that the Gaza-Israel war was nearing its end and predicted “eternal peace” in the Middle East. However, observers remain skeptical. The new U.S.-Israel peace plan is effectively seen as an instrument of surrender for Hamas, offering them possible amnesty and exile in exchange for disarmament and withdrawal from Gaza. If Hamas accepts, it could end the fighting and make it harder for Israel to pursue total military victory or the expulsion of Palestinians.
