I've found the Gregg Wallace furore hilarious. I'm sure he's a plonker, and maybe he's done some actually bad stuff. But if the allegations are true, he's probably the least perverted BBC presenter in history. If there is any bad stuff it's been buried under a deluge of whiny po-faced OFFENDED people who didn't like a joke or didn't want to see him naked with a sock on his wanger.
The double standards are blatant.
British TV - especially cooking shows - are a constant stream of sexual innuendo. Nigella does it best. But Great British Bake Off has double entendres so crude and crowbarred in they make Gregg Wallace look like a vicar's wife. Are people on THAT show suddenly going to remember they were offended?
And Huw Edwards' allegations (which were far worse, and turned out to be true) were denied by people like Owen Jones. Huw Edwards was allowed home before the trial (which would've given him time to destroy any evidence the cops didn't know about) and he "lost" his phone, so the evidence the police had was from the sender's phone. The whole thing stinks.
The same people outraged at Gregg Wallace for quizzing adults about their sex lives are silent on Huw and silent on grooming gangs.
