46:35Now PlayingGovernor Mark Dayton released his supplemental budget Tuesday, March 15, dedicating the use of the $900 million dollar surplus during the FY 2016-17 budget cycle.
Under the Governor's revised plan, $202 million dollars would be left unspent, while $117 million dollars would be allocated for tax reductions; $100 million dollars for broadband expansion in rural Minnesota; $100 million dollars for programs addressing economic disparities among races; $77 million dollars for education and early learning; and $56 million dollars for higher education tuition reduction.
In the coming weeks, the Senate and House will be developing their own supplemental budget plans, which eventually will need to be reconciled with Governor Dayton's proposal.
