DFL Senator Chris Eaton is the chief author of the bill, and was inspired by Brittany Maynard, a California woman who chose to move to Oregon to take advantage of that state’s Death with Dignity Law after received a diagnosis of terminal brain cancer. Senator Eaton and Republican Senator Michelle Benson of Ham Lake sit down with Shannon Loehrke to talk about this legislation.
