2:56Now PlayingThe Cabinet Secretary today held a meeting with the municipal commissioners, district magistrates and secretaries in 13 of the worst affected cities by the Coronavirus pandemic. Following the review, the cities were advised to mark clear containment zones these include Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Thane, Ahmadabad and Pune. A bulk of cases are being reported daily from these places. Officials have said that the strategy going forward will consider high-risk factors like defining the geographical zones that are to be contained and curbing movement as required. The meeting was extremely crucial as it comes just before the fourth phase of the lockdown is scheduled to end. The guidelines can serve as an insight into the government’s next steps in tackling the spread of the Coronavirus.
