The water to the district is supplied by the Delhi Jal Board from whom the supply has been extremely erratic and limited. In order to meet their daily needs, residents have been forced to rely on water tankers. The people living in the area claim that they have no means to avoid crowding as they try to collect water even as the government advocates social distancing. The national capital is currently witnessing its hottest temperatures in decades for the month of May.
