Times Network's Vivek says rescue operations are being conducted by the NDRF team. Media teams not allowed to visit the site due to network issues. Two teams of NDRF are carrying out the rescue operations along with task forces and police. Due to slush mud, bodies are expected to be 15-20 feet into the ground. CM Pinarayi Vijayan says that families affected due to this landslide will be given Rs. 5 lakh compensation. The infrastructure is not sustainable for the soil.
