A dispute for allocation of a ration shop got so ugly that it resulted in a man being murdered in the presence of top officials and yet there was no arrest made.
After a massive rise in the number of cases in UP and the administration and officials being under constant scrutiny, it seems there is no law and order in the state.
Sharat Pradhan, Senior Journalist, has commented on the government. He stated that the officials went out of their way to indirectly protect the accused and still claim their law and order is better than most states in the country.
Samajwadi party’s Ghanshyam Tiwari has stated that the government has turned Uttar Pradesh into a lawless land. People sitting on the lap of criminals cannot construct ‘Ram Rajya’, he said. Instead they can constructs arguments of ‘Ram Rajya’, he continued.
