as posted by the channelIndia has finally scaled an unprecedented peak in active cases of Covid-19 in the country. According to the Health Ministry data, the active cases have dropped below the 8 lakh cases mark for the first time in almost two months.
The country has recorded over 62,000 cases in the last twenty four hours resulting in the sharpest 15 day decline in the number of Covid cases with a drop of 18%. The decline in cases also takes the tally to 7,95,087.
The news comes as a relief since it was speculated that with the coming festive seasons and winter, the number of cases in the country might increase and would pose a challenge for the health authorities to curb the number.
