YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOver 500 doses of vaccine were wasted due to inappropriate handling of vials in the Dungarpur district, putting Rajasthan back in the limelight for vaccine loss. The refrigerator of the Raghunathpura village primary health centre malfunctioned, resulting in the waste of Covishield vaccine doses. The vials inside the refrigerator froze since no one noticed the equipment malfunction. After then, a three-member team led by Dungarpur Chief Medical Health Officer Mahendra Parmar was formed to investigate the occurrence. On Tuesday, the CMHO paid a visit to the hospital and requested a written statement from hospital nurse Lata Yadav, who was the first to see the frozen vaccination doses. Covishield is kept refrigerated between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. However, according to accounts, the community health center's refrigerator was below freezing point.
