Feb 2, 20232:00Now PlayingAccording to the latest update on Mirror Now, unrest was reported in Kaamanthotti, near Hosur in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri district on Thursday, after permission to hold a bull sport was denied. At least 15 people were injured when protesters threw stones at a police station on the spot. The administration had previously granted permission for the local bull-chasing sport to take place. The district administration, however, informed the residents on Thursday morning that it had been revoked. Participants and spectators enraged by the bullfight blocked the roads before launching a violent protest. Protesters threw rocks at government buses and police officers who had arrived to control the crowd. Later, the cops resorted to using force to control the enraged mob.
