Clay Travis: Super Bowl, Edelman MVP, Adnan Virk fired at ESPN, Bezos in Goodell suite

Clay Travis discussed the audacity of the recent story featured in The Daily Beast, claiming that President Trump supporters Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and Kraft are somehow a conduit to white supremacist, nationalist fans via their connection to the New England Patriots even though the majority of the Patriots roster is comprised of black athletes and that MVP Julian Edelman is Jewish.

Clay said “in this era of diversity and inclusion, the NFL’s first Jewish Super Bowl MVP seems like it should be a headline and talking point, but doesn’t appear to be a story at all.”

Clay Travis gave credit to the fans in New Orleans of the New Orleans Saints for successfully boycotting Super Bowl 53 by a figure of 50% in TV ratings as compared to Super Bowl 52, last year. Clay said that all fans, not just Saints fans, were deprived of a much better Super Bowl if the Saints would have played the Pats. Jarod Goff, said Travis, was clearly not ready for primetime. In the last 40 years, there has only been one quarterback who lost his first Super Bowl and came back later in his career to win it; John Elway. Quarterbacks Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, Steve McNair are all quarterbacks who failed their first Super Bowl and, as of now, have yet to win one.

Clay Travis mentioned that Adnan Virk at ESPN has been fired for leaking information and this is known because ESPN leaked the story to the media. Apparently, said Clay Travis, Adnan Virk leaked a story to Awful Announcing about the pending cancellation of ESPN’s Baseball Tonight, with specific language spoken behind closed doors at ESPN. ESPN, in turn, leaked the story immediately prior to the Super Bowl in an attempt to slide the story under the rug during the distraction of Super Bowl 2019.

Clay Travis mentioned how Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is under fire for KKK-related photos in his medical yearbook yearbook, while Virginia’s Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax is facing allegations of sexual misconduct. The office of Governor in Virginia could ultimately be filled by the state’s Attorney General, said Travis.

Clay Travis also mentioned his frustration over his FOX Sports TV Show, Lock It In, and their decision not to crown him this week because of their interpretation of a prop bet mention referring to the age difference between Jarod Goff and Tom Brady. Clay Travis’ throne is being unjustly usurped, said Travis.

Clay Travis also mentioned how Jeff Bezos was in Roger Goodell’s suite during Super Bowl 53 and three pending explanations for this occurrence. First, it could be a deal in the making for Bezos’ interest in purchasing NFL Sunday Ticket for Amazon Prime customers. A second option might be Bezos being possible interested in purchasing the Seattle Seahawks. The third option might be Amazon’s in-season or Super Bowl advertisement spending and Jeff Bezos and Roger Goodell were paired for that reason.

Finally, Clay Travis awarded Toyota for the “most woke ad” during the Super Bowl. Toyota’s desperate reach to somehow communicate how an NAIA football playing girl might have a legitimate dream of playing in the NFL is not a realistic dream.
