8:31Now PlayingOn Outkick the Show, Clay Travis shared his opinions on the AAF opener over the weekend.
The new “minor league” football organization, the AAF (Alliance of American Football), destroyed the NBA in ratings in its opener over the weekend, said Clay Travis. “A beatdown of an epic degree.” The NBA is a disaster from a ratings perspective, commented Travis, and is trending downward. Most of the NBA audience is manufactured, especially their presence on social media, said Travis. Also, more people watched college basketball over the weekend than any other sport. Zion Williamson (search YouTube for the Zion WIlliamson block) of the Duke Blue Devils, said Travis, is one of the most exciting players on his way to the NBA. The AAF’s ratings suggest this is a major deal and good things might be on the horizon for college football as well as the NFL, according to Clay Travis. This also might help clean up some of the academic problems in college. An exciting possibility, said Travis, could be the XFL, for instance, stepping in and offering Trevor Lawrence a substantial contract/endorsement deal to leave Clemson early to prepare for the NFL under a coach like Bob Stoops of Dallas.
Clay Travis shared more re: The AAF and their highly rated opener on Outkick the Coverage on Fox Radio as well.
