After watching the Tennessee basketball team fall to the Purdue basketball team last night, Clay conceded that his Tennessee sports teams, The Titans and the Volunteers’ football and basketball teams, will inevitably lose for the rest of his life. He doesn’t see any reason for optimism, therefore, it seems to make sense to surrender and no longer allow himself to be personally impacted by the outcome of his beloved sports teams. Clay is (possibly) choosing to no longer endure being crushed by the abject failure of the Tennessee sports teams and has recognized he is in an abusive relationship and, as the battered, it might be time to walk away.

Clay also conceded he might possibly be the curse to the programs, and divorcing himself from University of Tennessee athletics might result in their success moving forward.

Clay Travis also commiserated with the sporting fans of Buffalo, Atlanta, and Minnesota. He “feels their pain.” Clay’s possible retirement might admittedly be down the worn, wishy-washy path of Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, but time will tell.
