Clay Travis discussed Tyler Dunn’s in-depth story in Bleacher Report featuring Aaron Rodgers and the dysfunction he has brought and will continue to bring to the Green Bay Packers. The article sheds light on his insecurities, his mutiny, and his overall anti-social behavior. Clay also discussed the lack of fruit stemming from the Bill Belichick coaching tree and how Matt LaFleur’s chances of seeing success in Green Bay might be minimal.
Clay Travis also mentioned the recent hiring of Jerry Stackhouse at Vanderbilt. Clay openly wondered what the upside might be surrounding the hire, given that Stackhouse doesn’t have roots at Vanderbilt and an NBA-to-college basketball coaching hire lacks a precedent for success. “Why should Stackhouse know what it takes to win in the SEC?” asked Travis. On paper it doesn’t look promising for Vanderbilt basketball, according to Travis.
Clay Travis also shared that Vanderbilt is the only school in the SEC with a black head football coach, a black head basketball coach, and a black AD. While this is commendable given Vanderbilt’s history of being thought of as a “racist school,” it is Clay Travis’s opinion that the only thing current fans really care about is winning.
Clay Travis also talked about WFAN NY sports radio host Craig Carton and his 42-month prison sentence that was levied replete with a punchline from his judge. “First time/long time” is probably not an appropriate line preceding a prison sentence in a courtroom, said Travis. Even if it is (sort-of) funny given Carton’s occupation as a talk show radio host.
