AOC CALLS OUT Corporate Dems

Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) was interviewed on CNN where the topic of centrist Democrats’ devotion to the filibuster came up, and AOC did not mince words. AOC called out Joe Manchin and the real reason that he might be against a sweeping voting rights bill: it reins in dark money. Why can’t other democrats say the same? Hmmm… She also calls out the false nostalgia of “bipartisanship” when the Republican Party isn’t what it was even ten years ago.

Joined by TYT’s Jayar Jackson and comedian/actor Matt Rogers, Francesca digs into the dangerous middle of the road politics of the Biden administration. Attorney General Merrick Garland says he’ll protect voting rights but has yet to unveil concrete plans. Meanwhile, Republicans across the country are enacting sweeping rollbacks as we speak. Matt Rogers questions whether or not even Trump’s tax troubles in New York are enough to hold him accountable. AOC is right to draw the line in the sand. If Biden doesn’t show more leadership, our window for holding the Trump administration accountable will close. How are we here, people?
