Which cartoon food mascot will trigger Tucker next? Also, did you know that Mars, the maker of M&M’s, plus Nestlé and Hershey are currently facing a child slavery lawsuit in U.S. due to their labor practices in the Ivory Coast? Did you see that M&M’s are getting a corporate maker to become “more inclusive”? Tucker Carlson took note of the latter when it was announced last week that M&M’s was going to make the “hot” M&M’s less sexy.
According to Mars, the parent company of M&M’s, this was a move towards inclusivity, to “reflect ‘more nuanced personalities,’” and “underscore the importance of self-expression and power of community through storytelling." This follows another corporate move towards inclusivity made by the makers of Mr & Mrs Potato Head, which the right similarly lost its mind about.
According to Tucker Carlson, Fox News Host and white nationalist, “M&M’s won’t be satisfied until every last cartoon character is deeply unappealing and totally andrognous. Until the moment where you wouldn’t want to have a drink with any one of them. That’s the goal. When you’re totally turned off, we’ve achieved equity.” We’re not really sure what he’s talking about there either, but maybe that’s a conversation better saved for his therapist?
