How Did University Presidents Let a MAGA Republican Own Them?

What do you make of the allegations of campus anti-semitism? Recently, the heads of some of the most prestigious hedge funds in the country (aka Ivy League schools), testified in front of Congress on the topic of “Anti-Semitism on College Campuses.” This continuation of the culture war on institutions of higher learning has been ongoing for decades, but the genocide against Palestinians provides fertile ground for bullying these college presidents into clamping down further on real free speech that doesn’t align with American hegemony.

The most notable people who testified at the most recent hearing were the presidents of Harvard University and The University of Pennsylvania. In these hearings, Republican Representative and MAGA conservative Elise Stefanik, who has herself dabbled in actual anti-Semitism, grilled both presidents. For their part, their answers were full of disastrous inconsistencies that the president of UPenn has since resigned. President Claudine Gay of Harvard seems to have also come close to being forced out, but the Harvard Corporation (the board that oversees the university and all of its elements) decided to keep her in the same role despite Zionists attempting to oust her from the role.
