9:07Now PlayingOn Monday, April 8th, a total solar eclipse will occur across North America and of course it’s causing crazy political conspiracy theories.
As tourists flock to small towns in the path of totality, Alex Jones and his ilk are stoking fears the eclipse will help usher in a “New World Order” and is a practice run for “martial law.” Perhaps he’s forgotten that on the last big eclipse in the US in 2017 and we all made it through, except for the irises of people who look directly at the sun, don’t do that!
Doomsday warnings about solar eclipses have perhaps existed since the beginning of mankind. And sure, it is true that eclipses are interesting and strange and when you look up to the sky on Monday (with glasses), you’ll see the moon cover the sun for a few minutes, but it probably won’t lead to any human sacrifice or any kind of national emergency.
So in the year 2024 despite it's no surprise that our greatest charlatan Alex Jones and other freaks are trying to make a buck off of it! So why don’t we …join them? What will happen this time around?
