It’s been reported lately that far right internet personality Laura Loomer is now traveling with Trump on his private jet and is possibly, ahem, doing more with him. It’s unclear exactly how long this has been going on, but some Republicans are now deeply upset with her and are blaming her for Trump’s disastrous debate performance.
According to friend of the show David Weigel’s reporting in Semafor, “One person close to the Trump campaign said they were “100% concerned about her exacerbating Trump’s weaknesses.” Only recently, she appeared alongside Trump during his 9/11 memorial visit, despite having peddled 9/11 conspiracies herself.
Loomer, who is merely 31, has had a presence online for a number of years and gained some notoriety for being nuts. After she was banned from Twitter she chained herself to one of Twitter’s office doors (but only one, she claimed barring the exit would be against the fire code), and has alleged a litany of insane untrue statements about immigrants, abortion, and more. She’s like a host of some off-brand OANN, which is just an off-brand Newsmax, which is just an off-brand Fox News. In short, she’s off.
