These groups got their first taste of real power in the Trump Administration, and have spent the last four years salivating at the thought of returning to power for another four years under an even more unbridled Trump administration.
Talia Lavin, author of the forthcoming book Wild Faith: How the Christian Right Is Taking Over America joined us this week to take a deep dive into the movement animating the next Trump administration, and what plans they have for every non-normative person in the United States.
There are countless Republican senators, governors, and congresspeople, including VP Nominee JD Vance and Speaker of the House Rep. Johnson, who have openly advocated for policies that restrict the lives and bodies of women and queer people. The creation of no-fault occurred only in 1970, and was a hard fought three decades long legal victory. It has protected partners from abuse and murder ever since its passage.
