It’s been days since CNN broke a story that the lieutenant governor used to post racist comments on… porn sites. That’s right. Mark Robinson – who openly has said all manner of awful things like wanting to take the vote away from women or that some political dissidents should be killed– apparently said even more heinous things on a message board of his favorite porn sites.Things that he said included calling himself a “Black Nazi”, missing the days of slavery and saying that he would own slaves were it still legal, and then gushing about how much he loves trans porn. This is the same guy who called trans people “filth” and that they shouldn’t use bathrooms at all but “find a corner outside somewhere.” So it’s a little curious that in his private time, he partakes in watching trans people and is aroused by them sexually.
Joining Francesca Fiorentini is transgender actress Laverne Cox, who explains how fetishizing trans people and hating them is deeply linked, and how many anti-trans bigots would simply like to go back to a time when sex work was one of the few places that trans people could work.
