8:29Now PlayingVirginia's own nonpartisan Joint Commission on Health Care just found that 13 of the commonwealth's 36 rural hospitals are at risk of closing — 8 at risk, 5 at immediate risk.
The cause the report points to: H.R. 1, the "One Big Beautiful Bill," signed July 4, 2025. State Senator Barbara Favola says it will cost Virginia hospitals roughly $2 billion a year.
All five Virginia House Republicans — Wittman, Kiggans, McGuire, Cline, and Griffith — voted yes.
