On the other side of those same trades, more than a million investors lost about the same amount.
The family didn't risk a dime. They licensed the name, promoted the coins, and took a cut — World Liberty alone routes 75% of its governance-token proceeds to a Trump-controlled entity.
When the prices collapsed — the meme coin is down 97% from its peak — the family stayed in profit and the buyers ate the loss. Eight government ethics experts told Reuters it's the most unprecedented conflict of interest in modern American history. It's also, they noted, legal.
Trump University. Trump steaks. Trump water. Trump bibles. This is the same playbook with a blockchain, and his own supporters keep paying up.
