Drunk and Obnoxious Motel Guest Gets Arrested After Refusing to Leave

On December 3, 2025 at approximately 6:55 AM, Officers Bill Tynan and Chuck Crumlett with the St. Charles Police Department were dispatched to the Super 8 Motel at 1520 E Main Street on a report of a disorderly guest with a dog who was refusing to leave. Officers on the midnight shift had been called to that motel multiple times before. Officer Crumlett first made contact with the subject in the lobby near the front desk, and she was later identified as Agnieszka Lelek.

Employees told the officers that they did not want her on the premises. Officer Tynan then told Agnieszka that she would be arrested if she did not leave. Agnieszka appeared visibly intoxicated, and did not seem to comprehend what the officers were telling her. The officers then escorted her over to room 110 so that she could gather her belongings.

Despite multiple attempts to get her to leave, including putting her son on the phone, Agnieszka refused to leave the premises. Since she disobeyed the officers’ orders to leave multiple times, they eventually placed her under arrested. The officers eventually placed Agnieszka inside the patrol car and she was transported by Officer Crumlett to the St. Charles Police Department. Her dog was later retrieved by animal control.

Once they arrived in the sally port of the station, Agnieszka refused to exit the patrol car. Based on her refusal to exit the patrol car, Officer Crumlett had to physically remove her from the prisoner compartment so she was charged with resisting arrest. Agnieszka was uncooperative during the booking process. She did agree to submit to a PBT at the station, which indicated that her BAC level was at 0.244%. Since it was unsafe to release her to her vehicle, Agnieszka eventually agreed to be transported to Delnor Hospital for further evaluation.

Agnieszka was charged with the following:

-2 counts of criminal trespass (720 ILCS 5/21-3)

-2 counts of resisting a peace officer (720 ILCS 5/31-1(a))
