Pregnant and Homeless Cat Lady Eludes Cops in a Pursuit

On December 18, 2025 at approximately 9:34 PM, Officer Othello Rosal with the St. Charles Police Department was dispatched to the BP gas station at 1745 E Main Street on a report of a driver who was asleep at the wheel. He arrived on scene and noticed that a silver 2006 Dodge Caravan was parked outside. When he made contact with the driver, he recognized her as 26-year-old Brynn Celeste Beyer based on prior interactions he had with her.

He asked Brynn to reverse her vehicle into a parking space so that he could speak with her further. Tri Com had advised that Brynn had a warrant for her arrest. After Officer Rosal told Brynn about her warrant, he attempted to take her into custody by opening the driver side door and utilizing straight arm control on her by grabbing her left wrist. At this time, Brynn stepped on the gas pedal and was able to free herself from Officer Rosal’s grasp. As Brynn exited the property, she nearly struck a westbound vehicle on E Main Street.

Officer Rosal did not initiate a pursuit, but he kept following her vehicle. As she attempted to flee, she disobeyed a traffic control signal at E Main Street and Tyler Road. Brynn narrowly avoided striking several other vehicles, and Officer Rosal kept following her. Around this time, Officer Raymond Garcia also indicated that he was responding.

Officer Rosal made contact with Brynn again near the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 1145 N 5th Avenue, but she fled the scene once again. As other officers began pursuing her, they eventually got her to stop on the 400 block of Cedar Avenue. Once she stopped there, Officer Garcia placed spike strips in front of Brynn’s vehicle to discourage her from driving away again.

After they confirmed her warrant, Brynn was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Charles Police Department for further processing. Her 6 cats were transported back to the police department as well so that Kane County Animal Control could later take custody of them. Officer Rosal spoke with ASA Gamboa, but no felony charges were approved. Brynn was processed at the station, advised of her charges, and eventually booked into the Kane County Jail.

Brynn was charged with the following:

1) Resisting or obstructing a peace officer (720 ILCS 5/31-1(a))

2) Reckless driving (625 ILCS 5/11-503(a))

3) Fleeing and eluding a peace officer (625 ILCS 5/11-204(a))

4) Warrant service (725 ILCS 5/110-3)

5) Driving without lights when required (625 ILCS 5/12-201(b))

6) Failure to stop/yield when entering from a private drive (625 ILCS 5/11-906)

7) Disobeying a traffic control signal (625 ILCS 5/11-306)
