Fireman’s Wife and Mom of 5 Steals $2,489 Worth from ShopRite

Around 5:16 PM on June 5, 2026, Officer James Courtney with the Middletown Township Police Department responded to a report of a female shoplifter at the ShopRite on 1500 Route 35. He walked over to the loss prevention office and made contact with the alleged shoplifter, who was identified as Jeana DiCarlo.

Store employees informed him that the woman had attempted to exit the store with over $500 worth of unpaid items, and the total from this particular incident was later determined to be $548.80. Based on their surveillance footage and the store’s decision to press charges, Jeana was placed under arrest for shoplifting. She was handcuffed and placed inside the patrol car.

Officer Courtney transported her to the Middletown Township Police Department for further processing. She was charged with shoplifting under 2C:20-11B(1) and released pending her court appearance. It was later determined by the store that Jeana had stolen from the same ShopRite on May 8, 2026, May 17, 2026, and May 31, 2026, and the total value of those items was $1,940.20. On some of those instances, Jeana stole from the store while her children were with her. It is unclear how much in total she may have stolen from that particular ShopRite, but this is what has been confirmed by surveillance footage so far.

Jeana had previously been arrested for shoplifting (2C:20-11B(1)) from Target in Middletown, New Jersey on July 19, 2023. After this arrest, court records indicate that Jeana was arrested again for shoplifting (2C:20-11B(1)) on June 10, 2026. As of July 17, 2026, both her June 5th and June 10th arrests are still pending in court.

Jeana’s social media indicates that she is an influencer who is married to a FDNY fireman. She recently gave birth to her 5th child. Real estate records indicate that her and her husband’s personal residence is estimated to be worth approximately $756,000. On August 6, 2018, they took on 30-year-mortgage in the amount of $397,664. They also paid $10,379 in property taxes for the 2025 calendar year.
