2:06Now Playing🎶Working 9 to 5 / What a way to make a livin’🎶
But is it really? Does the gig economy earn more than working a 9 to 5?
A recent survey by Bunny Studio found that 63% of freelancers make more money than if they had a 9 to 5 job.
Bold host Philip Michael tells us that over the past few years the freelancing life has caught on more and more. Fewer people are picking to live with one office job or blue collar trade and instead opting for multiple smaller jobs/contracts.
On the plus side, you potentially work fewer hours per day and freelancers have claimed that they have a healthier work life balance. Thus giving you the extra time to pursue something you find meaningful.
That being said, this isn’t always the case. Freelancers without a strict 9 to 5 schedule might have to work longer hours than you would like. Not to mention you more than likely have to pay for your own benefits, for example life insurance and health insurance, completely out of pocket.
