Welcome back to Bold TV with David Grasso. Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe to Bold TV for news, and all things Bold.
Cuba, while only 90 miles from Florida, is a world away from our reality. Private business is very restricted, and freedom of expression is simply not allowed.
Cuba is one of the last hard lined communist countries on Earth, which is why millions of Cubans, including our own CEO David Grasso live abroad instead of in the country.
But politics aside, living in Cuba is still tremendously difficult. There are always food shortages and poverty. This is something that the Cuban government blames on the US embargo. The US embargo bans Cuba from doing any business with the US, and that’s a hot button topic that’s widely debated.
President Biden has called the Cuban protests a clarion call for freedom.
It’s obvious that Cuba faces an economic, political, and cultural crisis, and politics aside it’s apparent that change is inevitable. But it's a very slow pace to change that’s frustrating to millions of Cubans.
And thus, leading to the Cuban protests.
