Product Shortages
You’ve probably noticed shortages of a lot of items at stores ranging from shoes to food to cars. The supply shortages are also causing prices to go up. This can be blamed on COVID, government spending, shipping prices, and labor shortages. There’s a lot of factors.
In Los Angeles, there are dozens of cargo ships waiting offshore to unload their shipments of items that you are having a hard time finding. Unfortunately, these shortages will continue for the foreseeable future.
Facebook Outage
Facebook has had a tough week. Facebook along with Instagram and WhatsApp (both of which Facebook own) was down earlier this week. There was a global outage following a Facebook whistleblower dropped a tell-all bombshell to the press.
The Facebook whistleblower claims that Facebook puts profits above all else. The whistleblower claims that Facebook knows how dangerous its platform can be and has tried to conceal it.
Congress Arguing Over Debt Ceiling
Perhaps, the greatest procrastinator in the world is the US Congress. The US Congress is arguing over raising the debt ceiling. Basically, America’s credit card has maxed out and Congress has to agree to raise our credit limit. Republicans don’t want to raise the limit because they believe Democrats are on a spending binge. Regardless, in the end, without a deal, we will have a government shutdown and it would trigger an economic crisis.
