Crypto has long been lauded for its deregulation and anonymity, but are the dangers of its non traceability starting to catch up with it?

According to Forbes, the Government Accountability Office has observed a fivefold surge in questionable operations employing crypto, including drug and human trafficking.

Obviously, crypto is not responsible for this illegal activity, but its growing popularity may be providing criminals with additional possibilities to perpetrate nefarious acts.

Take, for example, crypto kiosks. These ATM-like machines are cropping up all over the country in convenience stores. You put in money and receive cryptocurrency in return. Criminals will be able to convert regulated traceable cash for crypto, which is essentially off the grid, more easily as a result of this.
