What does Elon Musk’s takeover mean for Twitter? Check out the video to learn what to look for!

So, as everyone knows, Elon Musk and Twitter agreed for the billionaire Tesla/SpaceX CEO to take over the popular social media network and take it private, which means it will no longer be publicly traded. People on all sides of the political divide are now voicing their concerns.

So, what does the future hold for Twitter?

Some people are concerned that a billionaire has decided to buy Twitter, but buying a popular platform by a rich business mogul is not a novel concept. Jeff Bezos acquired the Washington Post, then there's Rupert Murdoch, who owns a slew of media firms, and then there's Mark Zuckerberg, the billionaire who founded Facebook.

According to Elon, free speech was restricted under the previous administration. And he wants to make it open-source software. As a result, no shadow banning.

When certain voices are silenced, you can cater to others who are more likely to buy things, both demographically and from a marketing standpoint, which means you can sell it to advertising, and therein lays the economic model.

Elon Musk has stated that he will abandon the ad income model in favor of subscription monetization, which is a really intriguing concept because it effectively eliminates the commercial aspect.

In the past, there was a separation of church and state when it came to media companies. The commercial department was located here, while the editorial autonomous direction was located there. The digital age has brought the two closer together. Native advertising articles are advertisements that appear to be editorial content. This essentially dilutes journalism's editorial integrity nowadays.

Elon claims he wants to ensure that free speech exists. He doesn't want any financial incentive to go in and alter or even sway the debate in one direction. He simply wants everything out in the open. Will it happen now? Who knows what will occur in the long run.

Let us know in the comments what you think about Elon buying Twitter!
