Brain fog is a common complaint of those with many conditions, including ADHD, Long COVID, chronic fatigue / myalgic encephalomyelitis, brain trauma, sleep deprivation, and cancer chemotherapy.
Explanations for brain fog (not mutually exclusive) include inflammation, metabolic shortages, intracellular toxin buildup, and desynchronization of brain rhythms. A number of medication and non-medication approaches have been tested and can successfully address brain fog in many cases.
