YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOf light of the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Delhi, the Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed a petition seeking to freeze building activities relating to the Central Vista Project. A bench of Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh stated that because the workers at the project remain on site, there is no possibility of the construction work being halted. The high court levied a fee of Rs. 1 lakh on the petitioner, citing that it was a motivated case. In their appeal, petitioners Anya Malhotra, a translator, and Sohail Hashmi, a historian and documentary filmmaker, contended that the Central Vista project was not a necessary activity and hence could be placed on hold for the time being during the pandemic.
