On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis commented on the US women’s soccer team over Spain in the World Cup. The US was fortunate to have two penalty kicks called in their favor, allowing them to kick the winning goal in their narrow-margined victory over Spain. The USA will now face France in the next round.

Clay Travis also discussed The NBA and their decision to ban the title “owner” with “governor” — which is stupid because the words are not synonymous. All Americans, said Travis, should aspire to be an owner: an owner of a lawn mower, an owner of a car, an owner of a home, etc. A basketball owner doesn’t own any players, they own a franchise, added Travis. Players can opt out of their contract anytime. They aren’t owned.

Finally, Clay Travis talked about the College World Series that starts today between Vanderbilt and Michigan. Clay mentioned the appearance of karma following Louisville pitcher Luke Smith and his f-bomb tirade during their game against Vanderbilt. The game then took a dark turn for Louisville, and Vanderbilt has gone on to the finals where they face Michigan tonight in the best-of-three series for the crown.
