Summers Are Now The Saddest Season Thanks to Climate Change

Is it an abnormally hot summer near you? The good news is that summer is more than halfway through, for the Northern Hemisphere, the bad news is that this might be one of the coldest summers we experience for the rest of our lives. Fun!

Usually, summer is a time to relax and kick back a bit after working all year. Nowadays, every summer feels like a more and more dire warning about the future impacts of climate change, and how we are already dealing with its consequences. You might think that this would give our policymakers pause and impetus to act, but no, Coal Baron and de facto President Senator Joe Manchin cannot be bothered to vote for any legislation that even attempts to mitigate the already catastrophic impacts of global climate change. Our homes aren’t climate resilient, our lakes are looking more and more meager every season, and large portions of the United States, Europe, and elsewhere are currently on fire.

Truly, there’s only one way to fix this (from where we’re standing): a war on the 1%. Climate change is not happening because your coffee cups aren’t compostable, it’s happening because of folks like Kylie Jenner, who takes a private jet on a 10-minute flight across LA instead of driving and sitting in traffic.
