Ever since the F.B.I. raided Mar-a-Lago, the Trump family has been firing on all cylinders, trying to make the case in the media that their daddy is being set up, and did nothing wrong. Eric and Don Jr., two of Trump’s sons, are the most prominent among the Trumps doing this, since Ivanka never wants to do the dirty work and her husband Jared Kushner is busy trying to sell his new book in which he claims he did was the real mastermind behind the administration
Based on their media appearances recently, the two sons have very different strategies for defending their dad. Eric seems to be going with “Trump did nothing wrong and will shortly be cleared of all wrongdoing” approach, which seems risky but plays well on TV. On the other hand, Don Jr took the opposite approaching, basically saying “so what if he did it, the President can do anything.”
